Eg and Alice? Its's like a more urban(e) version of Prefab Sprout. Beautifully done. Sold bugger all IIRC but was a big critical hit in 91. Had some somewhat hysterical reviews of the "greatest album ever made" variety. Sadly it was one of those major label records that was hard to classify and got zero radio play - like the first Lewis Taylor album. And 91 was a terrible time to be doing anything this subtle. Let me know if you'd like to hear it.

When you wrote "Eg out of Brother Beyond made the brilliant "24 Years Of Hunger" with Alice Temple", I must confess it didn't ring any bells at all tbh, so I googled it and seeing "Eg and Alice" I remembered reading about that.
The 'hysterial reviews' definitely rang a bell, but I can't reall ever actually hearing anything off it. Would be interested in having a listen though.
