Before Cope there was of course CCR. John Fogerty was my teenage hero. Even got to see him in Manchester a couple of years ago.
So to the book.
I really really hate this book. All the research he did comes from newspaper clippings and then he draws his own conclusions. So he presents the band from his own perspective based on second hand information. I don't think he had any direct contact with John, Stu or Doug. He talks of a rift between John and Tom's son Jeff. I have spoken to Jeff on Myspace and they seem to have a good family relationship. Do not buy this book if you love Creedence, it will leave a horrible taste in your mouth. If you are a fan you will know much of the story and the court cases etc. Just listen to the music and enjoy.
