was just looking at rateyourmusic which has a function that shows the various sleeves of an lp's various releases. Looks from there like the 2 band members on slope next to stone wall was the original UK release, presumably with the familiar group with children, greyhound & trees shot as back cover.
The US sleeve has that 2nd image as its front.
I'm more used to that image as front cover, which could be why I prefer it. Do like the other one though.

Am assuming that the Elektra Anniversary pairings were remasters. I think the sound on them was decent enough. But the liner notes could have covered the lps involved better.

Sounds from the blurb, like the sound on the new Fled'gling should be much improved anyway. Just thinking the Fairport Convention masters have gone through 3 (or is it 4 in a couple of cases?) variations in the last 15years each one improving on the last. I think the last 2 noticeably so. Was just mentally trying to justify a further remaster on these, but if Joe Boyd's doing it it should be commendable.
