I'm with you Carlos, and I quite like Kiss

You could knock up a double CD of good Kiss from across all the records, but bar Alive 1 & maybe 2, non of the others are essential, even the early ones are fairly clunker filled

having said that the good songs are pretty good, and they are hardly a novelty act

I think what irritates a lot of people is they are fairly workmanlike, non of them can sing or play well, but they make up for it by hard graft and application, they want you to rock n roll all nite and party everyday and are willing to put the work in by banging out those party songs all nite

good luck to them and all that but if I wanted to recommend good hard rock to someone Kiss wouldn't be in my top ten, or even my top 50
