didn't read your post to the end, thought you had dismissed them after BTP and wondered why you would want too see a band you'd obviously fallen out of love with

Can't say anything about them live, other than whay I've read which has all been good, as for mellowing out the new stuff isn't going to give James Blunt a run for his money, I think they are a great progression, plenty of bands out there deliver low end woomph if you want it, the newer stuff has asubtlety, a bit of light & shade, or at least grey and really black, especially Doomsdayers Holiday.
Depends on your point of view, plenty of folk seem pissed off because the latest SunnO))) isn't Grimmrobes, and because you have a trombone you are now cosying up to Beyonce & Jay Z.
