http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/drug-adviser-sacked-over-lsd-claims-1812091.html Gah. The degree of hypocrisy involved in appointing a drugs czar and the sacking him because his objective evidence doesn't tally with the government's scaremongering agenda really makes my blood boil. David, I shall be skinning up a large one in your honour tonight. |

That's nonsense. The government is quite right to try to protect us from these evil substances. I shall be getting drunk and smoking cigarettes tonight, because I'm good and you're evil scum. I bet you spend most of each day standing outside primary schools offering cannabis wraps to little girls.

As I said over at the VP, he's been misinterperated like nobody's business. We heard what he had to say. Thing is, how many of the headline makers have? x

Respect D1, your a good man, I hear that a couple of his mates have resigned. His interview on R5 with Steve Nolan being honest and fascinating. The central point of his argument being if politicians can try to be scientists, then why can't scientists be......u know the rest! Fair point, I thought!

bollocks isn't it? You can picture the scene "right Professor, we want you to advise us on this subject, as long as your advice tallies with the propaganda we want to feed the public, otherwise it's curtains for you, sir".

Ha! Poor old David Cameron (Tory leader). He doesn't want to be seen as agreeing with the Labour party - but like an indecisive bunny rabbit in the headlights can't actually upset his conservative party by actually agreeing with those nutty scientist types, either. But really really wants to get his name mentioned somewhere and for some reason. Bless his stupid posh cotton socks. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8337185.stm "Asked about the row following a speech in London, Conservative leader David Cameron said advisers should be able to give advice in a "clear and unvarnished way" but all people in the public eye had to think about the wider implications of what they said, he added. "I don't think what Professor Nutt said about the respective merits of taking ecstasy and riding horses was a particularly good way of putting it," he added."
