There's little doubt in my mind that it's happened on multiple occasions, but this true story is a damning indictment of how pseudo-science, biased 'expert' witnesses, and the age old need some people have to find someone to punish for a tragedy put a man to death.
It's a compelling read, and a fascinating look at how arson investigations range from frighteningly ignorant to brilliant, as well. Scary how some people's fate rests in the hands of others who's 'expertise' is revealed to be built on myths and assumptions.
