I think it's US that should be learning from them. In developing countries, they survive and sometimes thrive on so much less than us and could probably teach us a lot about living on less. Of course it's only human nature for a nation to want to 'better itself' so that all its citizens can have electricity and cars and what have you, but the fact is they get on much better without these things than we could ever hope to, and when it DOES all go tits up and we run out of oil so can no longer run our cars and homes and pcs, they'll weather the storm far better than we will.
